NARS Sheer Glow Foundation + NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

Hi beauties,

Yesterday I went to Sephora for the 3rd time in a week 🙂 and splurged a little on some hyped-up makeup products that didn’t make me sleep till I did so…

I wanted NARS’ Sheer Glow Foundation for like ever, and I got the perfect match yesterday with a bit of help from a Sephora salesgirl… (Sephora girls are much nicer than some MAC girls because I initially went to buy Face & Body Foundation from MAC and they were reluctant to give me the PRO discount just because I didn’t have the ID with me. I was really annoyed and decided to skip that MAC boutique in the future too)

My NARS Sheer Glow Foundation shade is: Syracuse. It’s medium/dark 1, and has yellow undertones which perfectly matches my skin.

The formula is: Silky smooth, sheer but build-able that easily evens out skin tone. My face is slighter lighter than my neck, and I have deep dark circles, but this foundation makes it look all even in just a few swipes. Once applied, it dries to a subtle velvet finish that doesn’t make you look like you’re wearing much foundation. It’s very light weight and I prefer to apply with either my fingers or a round buffer brush. The beauty blender made it too sheer, but it differs from person to person, so try with all three if you can and find the best method that works for you 🙂

Price: US$ 45.00

Overall thoughts: After spraying some MAC Fix Plus, this foundation stayed whole day without moving, and I think I finally found my foundation partner for life. The formula, texture, shade and wearability are exactly what I wanted in a foundation. It’s pricey but definitely worth your money if you love sheer and glow-y foundations. When I say glow-y, this is not the Becca-kinda-glow, you know… It’s a very natural and healthy look that doesn’t look matte and dried up. So if you have dry skin, I definitely recommend this foundation.

Moving on to NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer…

I think every YouTuber has raved about this concealer, and every makeup junkie must be owning one or more of these. I’m late to the game once again, but I’m quite happy with my MAC Studio Finish Concealers too. I thought of giving this a try because I left my MAC Studio Finish Concealers at home when I moved to Istanbul, and I really missed them. As I said before, I didn’t want to buy anything from that MAC boutique, so I decided, why not try this super-hyped concealer for a change?

My Radiant Creamy Concealer shade is: Ginger. It’s great for medium skin tones similar to mine, and specially if you’re South Asian or you have golden undertones, this shade could work well on you. The other hyped up shade is “Custard”, but I think that would suit if your have fair/medium skin.

The formula is: Very light weight and is super blend-able. The coverage is build-able medium to high, and this is great to highlight your face if you’re into cream products. The best part about this concealer is that it’s crease-proof. For real. If anybody wants to test concealer-creasing on someone, you gotta find me. Everything creases on me! Even MAC pro-longwear concealer, if I’m careless and applied a little too much product :/

Price: US$ 29.00

Overall thoughts: This is the best concealer I found in the past two years since I discovered MAC Studio Finish concealers (Price: US$21.00) that gives great coverage with very little amount of product. If you want creaseless under eyes, you have to apply as less products as possible so they won’t clump together over time. But if you have deep dark circles, you need bigger coverage too, so it’s really important that your concealer provides full coverage with a little bit of product. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer does that, and it also illuminates the under eyes and it’s more like the high-end version of L.A.Girl Pro Concealers. Super worth for your money 🙂

Tell me your experience with these two products if you own them… I’d love to hear your thoughts too…

See you soon!

Xx
