Arabic Inspired Makeup Look

Hi all,

I know I’ve been absent for a while, but I was super busy doing a few freelance projects and finally had the time to sit down, open some parcels and write some reviews here. Tomorrow I will post my thoughts on Huda Beauty Liquid Mattes as I’ve been wearing them non-stop for the past 2 weeks, and today I want to give a shoutout to for a gorgeous maang tikka they sent to me yesterday…

Maang Tikka is: Typically an Indian piece of jewellery worn over forehead (sometimes on the centre, sometimes on the side) and since I have a lot of Middle Eastern followers, I decided to a fusion of Bollywood and Arabic makeup look featuring this beautiful handmade piece.

I know this is not the most dramatic Arabic makeup look, but you guys know I like to go a little subtle with my makeup looks in general. Anyway, here’s the look unless you’ve already seen it on my Instagram:

For the face I used:

  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (NC35)- all over face and neck with Morphe M427 stippling brush
  • MAC Pro Longwear Concealer (NC35)- under eyes with Morphe M335 chubby buffer brush
  • NARS Pressed Powder (Translucent)- set only the concealer as I have dry skin all over my face with Real Technique setting brush
  • Anastasia That Glow Kit (Sunburst)- on the high points of cheeks with Morphe M501 brush
  • Anastasia Contour Kit (Fawn)- as contour shade with MAC 164 brush
  • MAC Powder Blush (Melba)- Real Technique blush brush on the apples of cheeks

For Brows:

  • Anastasia Brow Powder Duo (Dark Brown)- filled the brows lightly with Anastasia No 7 brush
  • Anastasia Clear Brow Gel

For eyes:

  • MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot (Soft Ochre)- applied on the lid with fingers
  • Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette
    • Raw Sienna- on the crease with MAC 217 brush
    • Love Letter- all over the lid with Morphe M214 brush
    • Cyprus Umber- on the outer corner with Morphe M506 brush
  • L’Oreal Super Intenza Gel Liner (Black)
  • Urban Decay Heavy Metal Eyeliner (Midnight Cowboy)- applied above black eyeliner
  • MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Lash Mascara (Black)

  • Colour Pop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lipstick (More Better)

Neither of the photos are retouched because I like to give my viewers the most realistic picture as always… I hope you like this look and let me know what you think!

Happy Friday!
