Hi all! Yesterday I had the chance to visit a Sephora after like 4 months (it’s not available in Sri Lanka) and I thought I’d give a shoutout to a few new arrivals here at Sephora Türkiye 🙂

I’m not sure if these are already available at US stores or other countries, but they’re new to Turkey and they’re in par with the new trend in western makeup: Cushions!!!

Cushion makeup has been there for quite a while back there in Asia (particularly in the East) but now it’s made its way to the west and every cosmetic company is coming up with the cushion technology right now…

Apart from the blush and the lip creams, there was a cushion foundation by Sephora too, but I couldn’t find an exact match to my skin so I skipped that item.

Okay so the first thing that caught my eye was the Matte Lip Cream:

These come in 6 different colours, all gorgeous and appropriate for this season… As a trial, I picked the shade “Wonderful Fuchsia”

The texture is: Pretty similar to Too Faced Melted Lipsticks and NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams… They glide on really smoothly so it’s a really easy application.

Pigmentation is: Great! It’s super soft, even and lasts longer than the Melted Lipsticks…

First Impression: I love these! I want to buy the red shade (I can’t remember the name, and the Sephora US site doesn’t have all the colours 😦 ) I hope Sephora will bring more colours (may be nudes for us neutral fans) in the future… If you can find these in your stores, go check them out 🙂

Healthy Glow Cream Blush:

I haven’t used many cream blushes in my life (always sticking with powders for god knows why!) and I’m telling you, I love this blush. It’s perfect for dry skins like mine, and so appropriate for this upcoming hot weather. (It’s spring here and the weather is hot and dry) I picked the lightest shade “Milkshake”, but I think this shade is great for extremely fair skin. It doesn’t show up much on my NC35 skin tone, but it’s build-able, and I love the cool feel of it against my skin.

Texture is: Creamy, smooth and super blend-able. Very easy to apply and great for on-the-go application too.

Pigmentation is: Great. I should’ve bought a different colour (which I’m going to do as soon as I go back to Sephora may be this weekend) There were 5 colours available to choose from. I still like how subtle the shade Milkshake looks on me. It not only adds colour, but it also gives a really nice glow, which is just what you need for spring…

P.S. The best thing about the Matte Lip Cream was that it was not drying on the lips at all! It was creamy and hydrating for a change!
