Hi beauties,

Today I purchased a mini duo from NARS from a local IG page that brings down makeup to SL, both in the shade of Torrid, which were on my list for a while now. I’ve seen a lot of Instagrammers rave about this shade (specially in the liquid blush formula), so when I saw it was readily available, I decided to buy it immediately.

Tbh I was quite surprised at the size of the blush (I hadn’t checked this duo online) but I think it’s okay because this is ideal for my project pan! You can see how tiny it is next to the regular blush pan from NARS:

The shade “Torrid” is described as a warm coral with golden shimmer. It appears a lot more satin-like on the skin, with shimmer particles barely visible. I honestly thought this was a satin blush with no shimmer at first. I’m glad that the shimmer is not visible though.

I understand the hype behind this shade, as it’s a gorgeous blush on medium/tan skin. I feel like it’s a lot more beautiful than Orgasm (has too much golden shimmer for my taste), and is a lot more universal than it too. If Orgasm didn’t work for you, I would recommend you to try Torrid.

It is highly pigmented, so it’s best applied with a brush that has soft, loosely packed bristles. I like using the Bobbi Brown Sheer Powder brush. You should definitely avoid brushes that are flat or densely packed as a little bit goes a long way with this blush.

Now for the lip balm. This is my first time trying their Afterglow lip balms, and I’m pleasantly surprised by this one. It’s not too waxy, nor creamy. It has a beautiful tint of coral that adds just the right amount of colour to your lips. It’s very comfortable and hydrating. I’m curious to try other shades now.

In the picture below you can see me wearing both Torrid blush and lip balm. I’m also wearing the blush on my eyelid as a single eyeshadow.

What’s your favorite NARS blush? Mine is Torrid now. I also love a couple of blushes from their limited edition palettes, but I feel like Torrid will be my permanent favorite from NARS. Once I pan this, I will try the liquid blush too.
