It’s time to rave about a brand that’s a little closer to my heart than others, because it’s created by a Sri Lankan and made in Australia!
Beauty by Rosh cosmetics, created by Rosh Kumarasinghe is a vegan, cruelty-free cosmetics brand made in Australia. I’ve been trying so many of their products that were generously sent to me in the past year for review purpose by Rosh, and today I’ll be giving my final thoughts on their latest product launch: the Lip & Cheek tints.
These 3 new items were launched during the Colombo Fashion Week, and they were also inspired by the Fashion Week itself. My friend Nisha received them a couple of days before, and she loved them, so as soon as I received my PR samples I started wearing them. (Hence why I don’t have a pic of them before I started using them. It was a hectic week and I barely had time to take photographs. So I apologise that the bullets are heavily used in the pics that they may not have the usual aesthetic of sharp, unused lipstick bullets 🙈).
Here are the 3 new shades:

Shade range: My favorite shades are “Front Row” and “Designer”. I think that these two shades look so beautiful on anyone with light to medium/tan skin tones, and the deeper berry shade “Fashion Icon” would look stunning of tan to deeper skin tones, even though all shades work on all skin tones. This is another thing I love about Beauty by Rosh brand. Their lip colours work across a variety of skin tones, especially South Asian/tan/brown skins. If you’re a brownie like me, chances are that you can’t wear most of the hyped up lip colours you see online, because they clash with our beautiful bronzed skin tones. Beauty by Rosh lipsticks are curated in a way that will never clash with your skin tone.

I’m excited to see how Rosh would expand this shade range in the future, because the formula is one of the creamiest and easiest to use. Personally, I’m hoping to see some corals and reds that would be flattering on more sun-kissed skins.

The formula: is so creamy and easy to blend like I mentioned before. I have a few lip and cheek tints, but most of them are good only for either lip or the cheek; never for both lip and cheeks. This one, however, works perfectly well on both lips and cheeks so you can go for a beautiful monochromatic look. On the lips, you can sweep it a couple of times to get the full opacity, or dab a little with your fingertip for a soft tinted effect. The balmy texture will definitely keep your lips very hydrated. As any creamy, non-drying formula, these won’t last all-day long, but reapplication is easy and personally, I prefer hydration over long-lasting because generally the long-lasting formulas are super drying on the lips.
If you dab a little on your cheeks with your fingertips, these tints will give a healthy, glowing tint that instantly adds more youthfulness to your face. It doesn’t emphasise texture, and if you dab very carefully, it won’t disturb your foundation. However, I recommend using this before you powder your face if you’re still a beginner at applying makeup. If you’re a pro, you know the drill! Apply it whenever you want throughout the day to instantly refresh your cheeks.
I’m wearing the shade “Designer” in the picture below. I’ve listed down my current foundation shades FYR.
