This post is all about the foundations I’m currently having in my personal makeup stash. Over the past 6 years, I’ve been trying out so many foundations, and I’ve repurchased only a couple of them. This collection is not like a “hero foundation collection” or my “favorite foundation collection”. This is just a group of foundations that is sitting on my vanity at the moment. I like some of them, and I’m not too keen on the others.
So no particular order…

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation
- Shade I’m using: No 7 (More like my winter/spring shade)
- Suitable for normal to dry skin.
- Has a glowing finish.
- The undertone is slightly neutral.
- This is my second bottle, but I won’t repurchase this as it makes my skin look too greasy by the end of the day. (My skin has become more normal than dry now)
- The coverage is sheer.
- I apply this with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Complexion Brush
Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation
- Shade I’m using: Warm Natural (Can wear this throughout the year. This is the best shade match I’ve ever got for myself, and I was matched online on both their US and AUS site.)
- Suitable for all skin types, particularly oily skin.
- Has a natural matte finish. Doesn’t look dry.
- Undertone is neutral warm.
- This is again my second bottle, but I sold the first one as I didn’t enjoy it at that time. Since my skin changed from very dry to normal, I enjoy this foundation a lot more now.
- It has medium to buildable full coverage.
- I apply this with the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation
- This OG Foundation finally has an exact match for me! It’s NC37, and it’s surprisingly slightly lighter than NC35!
- Suitable for all skin types, particularly oily skin.
- Has a natural matte finish. It can look dry if you don’t moisturise well enough.
- This shade’s undertone is neutral warm, slightly more neutral than Bobbi Brown’s Warm Natural.
- This is my first bottle since I got shade-matched recently to this colour.
- It has medium to buildable full coverage.
- I apply this with Juvia’s Place Round Buffer Brush
MAC Face & Body Foundation
- I should be C4 now, since C5 looks slightly too dark for me. I was using C5 in the past.
- Suitable for dry skin.
- Has a natural, dewy and radiant finish with a very skin-like appearance.
- This shade has a warm undertone.
- My third bottle, and I will continue to purchase in the future!
- Sheer coverage.
- I apply this with my fingertips.
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturiser
- My shade is Medium Plus.
- Suitable for dry to normal skin.
- Has a natural, dewy finish
- This shade is neutral cool.
- My first bottle, but I’ve already ordered a backup. It’s the best for everyday makeup, specially since I’m back in the forever sunny and hot Sri Lanka again.
- Sheer coverage, but enough to even out the skin tone.
- I apply this with my fingertips.
So below are the swatches (once they were dried after 5-10 minutes) for your reference:

I’m currently loving the Chanel Tinted Moisturizer a lot more than others, but of course preferences change all the time. However, I’ve noted that I prefer sheer coverage than medium or full now that my skin is doing great.
I also want to try the new Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow foundation (they reformulated with a bigger shade range last year) but since I don’t have a boutique or a counter close by, I will have to wait a bit more.
Let me know what your favorite foundations are in the comments below…
Happy February!
