I know it’s way past holidays, but I wanted to test this kit a little longer before putting my final thoughts down for you… I’m sure this kit is still available in most stores, so if you’re interested you can check it out at your local MAC store.
This Starry Eyes Kit comes with a beautiful shimmery purple cosmetic bag that I use as my travel makeup pouch now. It’s not too big, but it can easily carry my entire capsule MAC collection (more on that later!) Inside you get:
- Two Extra Dimension Eyeshadows (with embossed stars this time)
- In Extreme Dimension 3D Lash Mascara
- Fluid liner in Black
To me, the eyeshadows are the stars of this kit (and the makeup bag) they’re so buttery and pigmented with multi-coloured micro glitter. They lasted well over 10 hours without an eyeshadow primer on me! My fav is Starry Starry Night. It’s gorgeous on any skin tone, and is perfect wearable micro glitter for every day!
I love the mascara in this kit, and it has always been a massive favourite of mine since it gives a lot of volume and drama to your lashes. However, since the formula is very thick, I wish they included the waterproof one because this one gets a bit messy sometimes.
The only product I’m not super happy about is the liner. I don’t like liquid liners anyway (love gel and some felt tip liners) so I struggled a bit with the brush. It is super black and smudge-proof.
In the picture I’m wearing all items from this kit. Additionally, I applied a bit of MAC Uninterrupted eyeshadow to the crease.
