I have a new bullet lipstick that I can’t stop wearing! I thought Bobbi Brown’s Brown would take this award, but Huda’s new (to me) Power Bullet Matte Lipsticks seem to win it by the end of this year!

These have been around for months now, but Huda released another collection in the same formula as a tribute to the 90s makeup called “Throwback Collection”, and I’m obsessed!

I’ve got two shades from this collection, and O-M-G they’re sooooo beautiful on my skintone! (NC 35, brown girl from Sri Lanka even though my friends disagree about the brown part) Little tip if you are brown-skinned too: pick up the warmer undertones in the new collection so you won’t look ashy or washed out!

So here’s one thing I want to tell you. The Huda Beauty swatches look soo different from the actual swatches:

I also added the other shade “Anniversary” from a previous collection of the same formula. As you can see, these do tend to lean slightly more pink than Huda’s swatches in real life, but Board Meeting and Anniversary are pretty nude on the lips.

Packaging: Is soooo beautiful and they are an exact match to the lipsticks. I can see why their manufacturing cost is always so high because they always nail the packaging (except for the very first Rose Gold eyeshadow palette)

These are supremely pigmented (just one swipe is all you need) and feel like a velvet. They have an impressive wear-time for a bullet lipstick, and they don’t leave heavy stains on your coffee cup. They also make your lips appear very smooth (as if you have fillers) which is actually my favorite part about them.

The new colours are so pretty for everyday. My 2 favorites are First Kiss (has a look of being just kissed) and Board Meeting. I also like to wear Anniversary with MAC Cork lip pencil for a sultry contoured “Kim Kardashian-ish” look.
