Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation review

Hi all,

Today I’m reviewing the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation since I’ve been wearing it constantly for the past 2 months, and I have dry skin (not too dry these days) and I live in the tropics (Sri Lanka!) so it’s very hot and humid throughout the year. In the left side picture below I’m not wearing any foundation/concealer so you can see how my skin looks like naturally. The right side I’m wearing the Bobbi Brown foundation in the shade “Warm Natural”, their corrector in “Peach” with their concealer in “Warm Natural” just under the eyes.

Here’s what Bobbi Brown site claims on the foundation:

What I love about it:

I love their shade range, and Warm Natural is the best foundation match I’ve ever done for me! It’s not too orange and not too olive, which happens most of the time with “warm” undertone foundations for me.

It really is weightless. I don’t feel like I’m wearing foundation, even after like 16 hours.

It has no fragrance. I’m very picky with fragrances so I prefer it when my foundations don’t have one.

The coverage is medium to full buildable coverage. It’s perfect for me because I don’t want sheer or full. On days I need more coverage I can build it nicely.

It IS long-wearing. It lasted the whole day on me. It also evened out my skin tone in a few brush strokes.

What I’m not loving so much about it:

Obviously it’s made for normal to oily skin, so yeah, it dries to a semi-matte finish. If they ever make a luminous or dewy foundation I’d definitely buy it because I know their shade match is 1:1 between different foundation types. Because of my dry skin, it looks slightly lifeless after a few hours unless I spray a lot of MAC Fix Plus.

I feel like it also emphasizes the pores around my nose and on my cheeks.

Final thoughts:

I recommend this foundation for anyone with normal to oily skin, specially if you’re South Asian like me and you have difficulty finding your perfect shade.

Other than the above 2 things I don’t like, this foundation works for me. It’s pricey, so I will try and finish it, however, I won’t repurchase it only because it isn’t that great for dry skin.

Hopefully this review helps you…

See you soon with more Bobbi Brown reviews…
