Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation

Hey lovelies,

Today’s review took me a while to put together, simply because I wanted to test it for as long as possible (almost 2 months now on a daily basis) and it is on Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation.

This is not a new foundation. Not at all. This has been there for years and years, and unfortunately no one has raved about this on social media (everyone’s gaga about Fenty Beauty and it seems like some of the older and luxury brands have fazed out from the market, even though if you look closer, they still exist!) When it comes to luxury/high-end makeup, people still talk about products like Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in this Fenty Beauty Era, but I’ve never heard of this one recently.

In fact, I had completely forgotten about this until I used a different shade on a model during a photoshoot. The foundation and concealer I initially used on her were MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC20 and MAC Studio Fix Concealer NW20 and NC15, but I noticed it started to crack and move around on her skin. I immediately removed everything and applied Teint Idole Ultra Wear as both her foundation and concealer, and it worked like magic. I just had to build it up under her eyes for coverage to us as a concealer, but everything stayed beautifully throughout the photoshoot with absolutely no touch-ups!

We do have a Lancôme counter in Sri Lanka, but things are ridiculously pricey, so I managed to buy my shade (Beige Sable- 045 UK) from Qatar Duty Free. It was US$ 42.00 I also found out that the shade range in the US is different from UK, and my shade is from the UK range.

You can see the shade comparison with other foundations I currently use:

The foundation is available in 45 shades and claims to last 24 hours. I can kind of agree, because I had this on one time for around 22 hours and my makeup was still on point. I have dry skin and this works so well on my dry skin because it doesn’t dry to a  completely matte finish. I’ve seen a couple of reviews on oily skin and they mentioned it worked well for them too. On days when I have very dry skin, I apply Farsali Rose Gold Elixir before moisturizer, so that the foundation stays dewy and nice.

On the picture above you can see how it blurs the pores and gives a softer appearance. It doesn’t smudge or transfer as it claims, however, if you have very oily skin you might have to blot after 4-5 hours since application.

All in all, this became my favorite foundation in an instant. I’d definitely repurchase it.

In the tutorial below I’m using the foundation and you can also have a look at my morning skincare routine.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

See you soon!

Xx
