Huda Kattan releases her first ever concealer range last Monday (8th October) named “Overachiever” in 20 shades ranging from extremely light (Whipped Cream) to extremely dark (Chocolate Chip)
I’m a big fan of Huda’s makeup line, so of course I had to get my shade! Mine is Toasted Almond.
Along with this concealer, I ordered her Faux Filter Foundation again because I feel like I’ve tanned a lot in the past few months and my HB Foundation Tres Leches doesn’t suit me anymore. I ordered the Easy Bake Powder in the shade Banana Bread too, because sometimes I’ve felt that the shade Blondie can get a bit too yellow on me.
You can read my previous reviews here:
Huda claims that this concealer has 31% pigment, and it really is a full coverage concealer. The formula is a cross between Tarte Shape Tape and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. It’s not too thick, nor is too runny; it’s the perfect consistency that dries up quite fast and blends like a dream too.
I have deep dark circles but with this concealer I don’t even have to colour correct them. The applicator is a metal tip that is very cooling so it de-puffs your under eyes at the same time.
Price: £23.00 (10ml)
I’m obsessed with this concealer. It doesn’t get cake-y. It sets on its own but I love setting it with her Easy Bake powders. It gives a beautiful photoshopped look to your under-eyes, and a little goes a very long way! I give 10/10 for this concealer!
In the picture above you can see some comparison swatches. Toasted Almond has more golden undertone than MAC NC shades. Even the Faux Filter Foundation is more golden than my other two favourite (NARS Syracuse & MAC NC40) So if you have very golden/olive undertones, Huda Beauty is something you should definitely consider.
I have dry skin, and both her foundation and concealer work so beautifully on me.
The Easy Bake Powder is also one of the best setting powders in the market, even though I wasn’t too sure at first in my previous review. Now that I’ve been using it for a couple of months, it’s something I can’t live without, specially to set my under eyes.
In the picture below I’m wearing a full face of Huda Beauty. Check my IGTV for the tutorial!
