Hi fashionistas,

Today’s post is slightly different from all that beauty talk I generally do here! For a change, I want to share my experience with this pure leather sandals brand- Asalt (pronounced as “Uh-salt”) in Sri Lanka.

Honestly, these indie brands are rocking it these days… whether its makeup, clothes, accessories, they’re giving the big bad boys a huge run for money with high-quality and affordable products, and I love supporting them.

So, long story short, Asalt Sandals contacted me a couple weeks ago and requested me to pick any style & color I like from their collection to custom make and give my two-cents on the product. I immediately jumped at it and picked my favorite style and color (rose gold, duh!) and they sent me about half a dozen pairs of sandals to check the fit, style and color.

They have a nice variety of styles and colors. The upper (straps), lining (inner sole) and the sole are made with 100% genuine leather, which I personally like for the comfort and durability. You can see a few of their styles below…

My customized order was delivered in a week and I went for tan lining and rose gold upper (straps) as you can see in the picture below:

They came with a dust bag, which is very useful for our hot, humid and dusty weather conditions. The sandals are very comfortable and great for daily use in this sunny island, as I prefer to wear flat and open footwear when I stay here in Sri Lanka. I love that they have a good selection of styles and colors to pick from.

Now all I need is a good pedicure and a beach vacation to take some nice pictures in these! (I have one planned in mid-September… fingers crossed!)
