Morphe Brushes: Gel Liners review

Hi all,

Today I will give my 2 cents on some of the gel liners I picked from Morphe Brushes, because I love gel liners more than liquid or pencil, and I love Morphe products so let’s see what we’ve got here 🙂

I got the shades:

Flux (A medium blue matte shade)
Plum (A plumy purple matte shade)
Naked (A medium chocolate brown matte shade)

I was so excited when they arrived because these colours are great for brown eyes.

The formula of these colours are: Very soft and smooth, but all 3 colours go a little patchy at first. If your brush is not clean (which is unforgivable!) these liners are so hard to use. Make sure there’s absolutely no product left on your brush when you apply. They dry very fast, specially the shade Flux.

You need to pick a lot of product if you want a smooth, even and opaque line in one go.

I didn’t like the formula of Flux. It started to crumble down after a few hours and I noticed a lot of blue dust (from the dried liner) on my under eye area, which is not a nice picture if you ask me! This didn’t happen with Plum or Naked.

Price: US$ 8.99 But most of the time these colours are sold out!

Final Thoughts: You cannot expect the quality you get from Maybelline or L’Oreal gel liners! In my opinion those are the best out their in the market and they’re so comparable to the high end gel liners too. The Morphe liners need a lot of improvement and I’m not 100% happy with this product. I think I’d stick to their brushes (and the 35O palette which is probably on the way as I finally managed to buy one!)

BTW I have some great news for you guys! I’m starting YouTube finally! Just filmed my first video yesterday- it was not really meant to be uploaded I just filmed a GRWM (Get Ready With Me) and it turned out to be okay 🙂 it was recorded from my phone but let’s see!

P.S. It’s 7th November, 2016 and I’m so sad to say that all of these gel pots are dried by now and I didn’t even use them since I wrote this post… it’s such a bummer so I can’t really recommend this product 😦

I’m unsure how you had such a bad experience. My morphe gel liners are the best and easiest to use that I have ever tried. Excellent product.
