Thought I’d do a very quick review on Lancôme’s Définicils Mascara today because surprisingly this Sunday seems a bit free for me… I have another post coming tonight on some lip glosses too, so don’t forget to stop by again 🙂
I got a package of Lancôme samples a week ago, and I promised to my Instagram followers that I’ll write about them as soon as I can…
I got the following products so you can stay tuned to their reviews too:
- Définicils Mascara
- Blush Subtil in Shimmer Mocha Havana
- Lip Gloss in Heatstroke
- Absolue Premium Day Dream
- Visionnaire Serum
- Bi-Facil eye makeup remover
So on to the first product:
Lancôme Définicils Mascara is: Meant to give you highly defined yet natural looking lashes, and this has been number 1 mascara for over 16 years, according to Lancôme’s website.
Available colours: Black, Deep Black & Deep Brown
Price: US$ 27.50
My impression on Définicils is: That this mascara really gives you extremely natural looking lashes. It’s very easy to use as it lengthens and separates the lashes at the same time. Note that this doesn’t give volume like Grandiôse does. I recommend you to curl your lashes first, but in the picture below I applied only one coat of Définicils without curling or applying a lash primer:
The Lancôme client is a sophisticated woman, and this product truly gives that French elegance the brand always promises to deliver. Définicils is not meant for you if you’re expecting dramatic results. I love dramatic lashes for everyday, but Définicils is definitely something I would go for whenever I want a fresh, sophisticated look. (Will be a perfect change for the coming spring months!)
Do I recommend this product? Okay. There’re so many mascaras out there ranging from really low to insane prices. This product IS expensive, though it’s not insanely priced. If you feel like paying US$27.50 for a mascara that doesn’t give you dramatic results is not worth it, then you should totally skip. I think buying any makeup product really depends on your personal preferences. Do you like high-end or drugstore more? Because both ends have products that give similar results. Personally I like a mix of both, and honestly this is such a hassle free mascara, specially if you’re on-the-go. It doesn’t clamp and if you want subtly defined lashes, this does it so well that you’ll fall in love.
I’m in love with Définicils. This comes in both waterproof and non-waterproof formulas.
Let me know your thoughts on your favourite mascaras. Are they from drugstore or high-end?
