Travel Diaries: Throwback to Switzerland 1

Hi all,

Even though now I’m known as a Beauty Blogger, I started this blog to write about almost everything from fashion to makeup to food, travel and many other things. If you’re interested only in makeup, you can totally skip this and go to my previous post on Z Palettes or stay tune to Self Made Palette review this weekend 🙂

I ended up writing mostly about makeup because I’m so passionate about makeup right now, even more than clothing, but I have promised myself to keep this blog interesting with everything else too…

Today I’m keeping that promise to myself by sharing with you a Travel post.

A few months back I made my first trip to Europe, and I already wrote about my Paris trip, which you can read here 🙂

Next we went to Switzerland, which was a looooooooong ride from Paris. (I already posted some pictures of beautiful flowers en route to Switzerland in my Paris post.)

On the way to our hotel, we passed the most picturesque meadows and lakes…

Our hotel was in Engelberg, a beautiful small town at the foot of Mount Titlis. As Switzerland is famous for its tunnels, the entrance to our hotel was not only one tunnel, but two!

This is the view from our hotel:

We got into our hotel really late that day, so after a hearty dinner we had a good night’s sleep.

The next day was spent freely without any tour guides. We walked to the little town of Engelberg, which is like the cutest little town I’ve been to.

Engelberg was a very quite place with beautiful flower patches all over the place.

These were the biggest and the most lush roses I’ve seen in my life.

One should always stop and smell the roses 🙂

So next went to Interlaken to spend the rest of the day…

Interlaken is: Located  between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and alongside the Aare river. It’s famous for paragliding (which we missed out, sadly) and it yet another silent town scattered with many boutiques selling famous Swiss watches and chocolates.

Getting there was easy. There are two railway stations (but the train tickets were insane) on the East and West.

We had a very relaxed day at Interlaken. My dad and I did some sunglasses and watches shopping, then we walked around a large park to a small restaurant by the roadside for our lunch.

How cute is that garden gnome? This place was so windy btw.

This Ravioli was awesome!

Then it was time for an ice-cream!

Isn’t this view stunning?

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

See you tomorrow with Anastasia’s latest palette review and swatches!
