BH Cosmetics Wild & Radiant Palette review

Here’s another review on something from last month’s BH Cosmetics haul… I bought this purely because it was on sale as I already have enough highlighters and bronzers to last a lifetime. The Wild & Radiant palette looked pretty appealing and the price was amazing at that time too, so you know what I did next… dropped it in my shopping bag!

The palette is fairly larger than I expected. It’s really cute and comes with a nice, large mirror inside. The box is made of cardboard that shuts well by a magnet. All 4 shades are made of whopping shimmery goodness!

These baked shades can be used on: Eyes, face and body, so I guess thats why the pans are larger than regular eyeshadow pans (which is the size I expected) They are smooth and highly pigmented, not to mention extremely shimmery and sparkly.

So here are the swatches:

For somebody who doesn’t have a very strong eye on differentiating shades (like our boyfriends, for example haha) these colours might look the same… But you (if you’re a girl, or a boy who’s addicted to makeup) can see that the top row bronzer is a tad bit coppery than the bottom row, which leans more towards gold. The top row highlighter is also slightly whiter than the bottom one, which is more like a champagne colour.

My advise on how to wear this palette: These colours are super duper shimmery. They’re not your average everyday bronzer & highlighter (unless you use extremely little) but my recommendation is to wear them on a poolside or beach vacation, because these give such a beautiful bronzed glow, that you don’t even have to stay outside too long for a real tan (in other words, you can fake a tan on your face with this palette, and this is the healthier option!) I’d also suggest to wear a primer because this can enlarge your pores if you don’t wear one.

Apart from your face, you can use these on your eyes. (Apply one of the bronzers on the crease and highlighters on the inner corner, lid and brow bone) If you apply this on your body, you can totally get a nice sun-kissed look. For a more wearable look, I’d dust the bronzers all over my face with a large fan brush, and I’d use a smaller fan brush to apply highlighters on the high points of my face. (See the image below: The brushes in the pic are from BH Cosmetics 36pcs brush kit)

This palette is HIGHLY on the warm side, so you definitely need something cool toned to bring it down a bit. For example, if you wear this on your cheeks, I’d suggest you to wear something cool on the eyes, or pair it with a pinky blush rather than a peach one… You know what I’m saying, right?

For this posts sake, I wore it on both my eyes and face: I like how I look in the picture, only thing is you have to be very careful not to over-apply because these colours are highly pigmented.

Price: US$ 6.00 at the time of sale.

This palette is cruelty-free.

Do I recommend this? Yes, if you’re looking for an affordable body shimmer palette. A must-have for a summer vacation and specially if you’re into shimmery bronzers and strobing, this needs to be checked out! Talking about #strobing these highlighters are amazing for strobing freaks out there 🙂

Next up will be the Bombshell Blush in Delightful 🙂

Stay tuned
