ColourPop’s La La Review & Swatches

I haven’t been posting much in the past week because I got caught up with so much work, but today I got a little bit of time to do TWO POSTS for you guys!!

I’m so excited to write about my first ColourPop pressed pigment in “La La” 😀 all thanks to my sweet makeup BFF Nisha as she gifted this little beauty to me yesterday! (Do check out her blog for amazing makeup posts! She bought 50 shades of ColourPop and keep an eye out for that post on her blog!)

You can also check out ColourPop website for more of their awesome beauty products: www.colourpop.com

Ok, here’s the little beauty:

La La is: A true Rose-Gold shade with a smooth, “Ultra Metallic Finish”

The consistency: Is really hard to explain! It’s so smooth, buttery and velvety, and the above and below swatches are without any eye primers so you can see just how pigmented it is! These are the softest metallic eyeshadows I’ve ever touched in my life!

Application: Is quite easy. As the website says, it’s best to apply with your fingertips as they give the highest possible shine on your lids. You can also use a flat synthetic brush, but I recommend using the fingertips if you’re focusing on a larger area.

The price is: US$ 5.00 for each little pot and you get 2.1g of shimmery, velvety goodness!

Here it is applied on the back of my hand:

Pigmentation is: Out of the word! This is pretty similar to MakeupGeek‘s foiled eyeshadow pigmentation.

Wear time: Is so crazy… It lasted the whole day and it was so hard to take it off! The swatch on the back of my hand stayed the whole day too, even when I tried to wipe it off hard.

Is it worth the hype? I feel like it does! I’m a huge fan of Rose-Gold eyeshadow and this one tops it all! I love how easy the application is and you need so little to achieve that ultra metallic shine, just like they promise to give.

This particular shade became my instant everyday-favourite and I’ve added it to my Long Distance Travel Favourites list too!

Here I am wearing this all over my lid, and pairing it up with a bright orangey-red lipstick:

I’m wearing: Elf eyelid primer, ColourPop eyeshadow in La La, MakeupGeek eyeshadow in Peach smoothie (on the crease to blend La La), L’Oreal Gel Liner in Black, L’Oreal Curl Impact Collegen mascara, BH Cosmetics Flawless Brow Trio in Medium, BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Sculpt & Glow palette in Light-Medium & YSL Rouge Pur Couture in Le Orange

If you’re planning to buy some ColourPop, don’t forget this shade La La 🙂

I’ll be right back with “What’s in my handbag on long distance travelling”

Xx
