My Spring 2015 Beauty Round-up

Hello beautiful people!

As spring is almost over, I decided to do a final round up of review on the beauty products I’ve been loving (and not-so-loving) in the past few months… Most of these have been already reviewed in my blog so they will be linked directly to those posts, but the main reason I wanted to do another post featuring all of them is that first impression can change! Scroll down to see what stayed true to the first impressions and which products did not 🙂

1. Lancôme My French Palette (Spring 2015 limited edition)

I use this: Whenever I want a minimal makeup look or whenever I want a bright, bold red lip.

Previously I was: loving it. (Previous review is here)

Because: It was love at first sight and it was my first rose-toned eyeshadow palette.

Currently I’m: Liking it.

Because: I feel like matte shades could’ve had better pigmentation. They don’t appear on medium/tanned skin without a primer.

2. Paul & Joe Eye & Cheek Palette in Elephanteau (Spring 2015 limited edition)

I use this: Almost never 😦 The only colour I use is the matte white shade to highlight my brow bone.

Previously I was: Loving it. (Previous review is here)

Because: It was such a cute palette that’s compact & travel friendly. The colours have good pigmentation and stayed all day on top of a primer.

Currently I’m: Quite neutral about it.

Because: The teal and the taupe make my whole face look ashy, and the blush is too pink for my taste. (I’m not blaming Paul & Joe here. I just prefer pale pink & peach blushes)

3. L.A. Girl Beauty Brick in Nude

I use this: Quite often, almost every other day.

Previously I was: Loving it. (Previous review is here)

Because: All shades are highly pigmented (except for shade no 11) and the colours are beautiful. Great palette for such a low price.

Currently I’m: Loving it!

Because: It even surpasses the Lancôme My French Palette in terms of pigmentation. The matte shades are stunningly pigmented & blend like a dream.

4. MAC Violetwink eyeshadow palette (Isabel & Ruben Toledo limited edition)

I use this: About once a week with a matte nude lip.

Previously I was: Liking it. (Previous review is here)

Because: It was the first purple eyeshadow palette I had and the colour combo was great except for pigmentation. Love the packaging too.

Currently I’m: Liking it.

Because: All shades need a lot more pigmentation for such a high price. Still love the colour combo.

5. Too Faced Sweethearts Blush in Peach Beach

I use this: Almost everyday!

Previously I was: Loving it. (Previous review is here)

Because: It’s such a gorgeous shimmery peach blush that stays all day.

Currently I’m: Loving it even more!

Because: I love peach blushes better these days and this is the one I always pick when I can’t decide on a blush.

6. MAC Ombré Blush in Ripe Peach (Isabel & Ruben Toledo limited edition)

I use this: Every time I want to add some warmth to my face. Whenever I use a cool tone eyeshadow, I use this blush to balance out the brightness and warmth.

Previously I was: Loving it. (Previous review is here)

Because: Of the gorgeous packaging and the beautiful ombré colours

Currently I’m: Loving it.

Because: It adds a nice warm glow to my face.

7. NYX Conceal, Correct, Contour palette in Medium

I use this: Almost never, except for the darkest shade to contour my nose.

Previously I was: Disappointed with it. (Previous review is here)

Because: Of the extremely thick waxy consistency.

Currently I’m: Disappointed with it.

Because: It doesn’t sit well on the skin on top of primers or foundations, and gets caked easily when I apply powder on top.

8. Laura Geller Real Deal Concealer in Light

I use this: Every time I want to highlight my under eyes.

Previously I was: Loving it. (Previous review is here)

Because: It has serious coverage and blends beautifully with a stippling brush (I previously stated to use fingers, but my Real Techniques Stippling Brush does wonders with this concealer)

Currently I’m: Loving it more!

Because: It stays in place the whole day and conceals my dark circles really well! (On top of MAC Studio Finish concealer in NW35 as a base)

9. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in London, Istanbul, Sydney & Buenos AIres

I use this: Every day! (Mostly London & Buenos Aires. I love Istanbul but I don’t want to finish it 😉 )

Previously I was: Loving them. (Previous review is here)

Because: They’re affordable and works well.

Currently I’m: Loving them.

Because: They’re such a steal at US$ 6.00 each! They stayed whole day on my lips without even fading. After a while they settled into my lips so well, that all these shades looked so MLBB!

10. MAC Real Doll lipstick (MAC is Beauty limited edition)

I use this: Quite often whenever I want a very pink makeup look. (Love pairing this with LA Girl Beauty Brick in Nudes)

Previously I was: Loving it. (Previous review is here)

Because: It is such a beautiful pinky lilac shade in my favourite MAC finish: Lustre finish.

Currently I’m: Loving it.

Because: It brightens up my whole face.

11. Paul & Joe lipstick refill in Renard (Spring 2015 limited edition)

I use this: Almost everyday.

Previously I was: Liking it. (Previous review is here)

Because: It was a nice peachy nude lipstick

Currently I’m: Loving it.

Because: It’s a great balmy peachy nude lipstick that keeps my lips moisturised throughout the day. It’s a great everyday lip colour.

12. MAC matte lipstick in Sin (Isabel & Ruben Toledo limited edition packaging)

I use this: lightly on the lips as a base and apply MAC’s Chic Supremacy Lipglass (Holiday 2014 Limited Edition) on top for a daytime-appropriate look.

Previously I was: Liking it. (Previous review is here)

Because: Of the beautiful packaging and matte finish

Currently I’m: Loving it.

Because: Of the matte finish & the vampy shade.

So that finishes my Spring 2015 beauty round-up, beauties! There’re many other products that I loved during the past few months, but that would’ve made this post so much longer, and I only added the ones that changed my impression from good to bad or vice versa!

I hope this helped you…

See you soon with some brush reviews!
