Dior’s Earth Reflection Review & Swatches

Earth Reflection from Christian Dior was the first ever high-end makeup product I bought. I paid a premium price for it at that time (LKR 10,000.00- Yes, I know it’s a LOT for just 5 shadows) but this palette has never disappointed me.

These shadows are so buttery and smooth. They blend really well with almost zero fallouts. I do use the sponge tip applicators that came with it, and they work well with those as well as fingertips & eyeshadow brushes.

The colours are very pigmented, except for the middle shade which looks like pale pink on the pan, but it turns out to be more of an icy pink when you apply.

I didn’t use a primer on any of the photos below. You can see how rich & beautiful the colours look even without a primer.

Colour 1: Pale champagne shade. Highly pigmented. I love using this as a highlight on inner corners & a tiny bit on the brow bone.

Colour 2: Champagne gold shade. Highly pigmented and applies beautifully on the lids.

Colour 3: Pale pink. Doesn’t apply as pink as it looks on the pan. It leans more towards an icy pink, though it doesn’t look super frosty.

Colour 4: Warm taupe. This is the shade I’ve used mostly from this palette. Very pigmented as rest of the shades and I sometimes use this as a mono all over the lids.

Colour 5: Warm chocolate brown. Pigmentation is high and I generally use this on the outer corner of my eyes for a smokey effect.

The entire palette has a warm undertone, which I really like because they work so well on my skin tone. However, the colours are super shimmery, so be careful when you apply them.

Do I recommend this palette? Yes! But only if you’re willing to splurge so much 😉 If you love only high-end, I would say: “go for it!” I feel like it’s a must-have palette if you collect high-end shadows. But if you don’t want to spend so much for it, then obviously don’t buy. Save your money for some dupes from Make Up Geek.

Here’s how I like to wear these colours:

I hope the review helped you…
